One shared map, three colours, and a quiet moment in the middle. Here is the whole of it, screen by screen, from the app now in testing.
01Search, or tap the map
Type a street name or tap it on the map. Every named street in the world is there. Two streets with the same name in two towns are two different streets, with their own colour and their own count.
02The street
Its name, its town and whether anyone has prayed for it yet. Then one button to pray, and one to share it. Nothing else is asked of you, and nothing about you is shown to anybody.
03The moment
The screen goes still. A verse, if you want one, or nothing at all. Pray for as long as you need. Nothing is timed. When you are ready, Amen.
04It turns green, for everyone
On your screen, and on every other screen in the world that has that street on it. Your own total goes up by one. Your town's coverage moves. One nearby grey street is quietly offered next, and you can ignore it.
05Your record, private
Every street you have prayed for, this week's rhythm, the gold streets you helped make. Private to you. It never appears on the shared map and it is never shown to anyone else.
06The wider picture
Coverage for your town and your country from the start, and for the world as the map fills. One anonymous line: streets prayed for today. No leaderboard, no names.
The rules
What keeps the map honest
A handful of rules decide what every colour and every percentage actually means. They are set once, and they are the same for everybody.
What counts as one street
The whole named road inside its own town. High Street in Brierley Hill is one street. High Street in Stourbridge is a different one. Every colour and every total depends on this.
When green becomes gold
After many people have prayed for the same street. The number is never shown, so nobody prays to hit a target. It is a threshold, not a score.
Praying again
You can pray for the same street as often as you like. It counts once a day towards the colour, so one person cannot turn a town gold in an afternoon.
Does green ever fade
Not for now. A street that has been prayed for stays prayed for. If that ever changes, it will be a decision taken in the open, not a quiet update.

The heart of the app is the moment. Everything else waits to be asked for.
Night mode
A lot of people pray last thing at night or first thing in the morning. When your phone is set to dark, the map goes dark too. Same three colours, same meaning.
Verses, if you want them
Short verses grouped by theme, shown while you pray if you would like them and off in one tap. A different one for every street.
Walks, if you want them
Some people like to be on the street itself. A walk is an ordered list of real streets you tick off by hand. The app still never knows where you are.
The app on Android, and praying in any browser
The full app is for Android and is being tested now. On an iPhone, a tablet or a computer you can still pray for any street in the browser: today's street on the home page, any street you search for, or one someone has sent you. Walks are not in the app yet, so that screen is a concept.

Questions people ask
Is Pray My Street free?
Yes. Choosing a street, praying for it, watching it turn green, your own record and your town's coverage are free on Pray My Street for ever. Later, people who want to keep it going will be able to support it and get a few extras as a thank you. Nobody will ever pay to pray.
Does Pray My Street track where I am?
No. Pray My Street has no location permission at all, so there is nothing to grant and nothing to leak. You find a street by searching for it or tapping it on the map. Whether you are standing on it or sitting at home is your business.
Do I have to walk a street to pray for it?
No. Pray My Street is made for praying from wherever you are, including at home. Prayer walks are planned for people who like to be on the street itself, and they will be optional, and even on a walk the app never knows where you are.
Will anyone know I prayed for a street?
No. On Pray My Street a street turns green for everyone, but it never shows who prayed. Your own record is private to you and never appears on the shared map.
What counts as one street on Pray My Street?
The whole named road inside its own town. High Street in Brierley Hill and High Street in Stourbridge are two different streets, each with its own colour.
How many prayers make a street gold?
Many. Pray My Street never shows the exact number, so nobody is praying to reach a target. Praying for the same street again counts once a day towards its colour.
Does Pray My Street cover streets outside the UK?
Yes. Any street in the world can be prayed for on Pray My Street from the first day. Percentages start with the places where the street data is most complete and grow from there.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Pray My Street runs in the browser on a phone, a tablet or a computer, and can sit on your home screen like any other app. Apps for the stores come later, once the loop has proved itself.
Can my church use Pray My Street together?
That is the plan for the second stage: a shared map, one total, invitations and prayer walks for a church or a group. If your church might want to be among the first, say so when you register your interest.
